This weekend (Monday in Spain) the celebration took place 76th edition of the Emmys And that can only mean one thing: we have our usual list ready with the main series that have swept the awards so that you can keep an eye on them and not waste time looking for them. We don't just give you information about them; we also tell you where to watch them, so you're on the right track. Do you like the proposal? Well, let's not waste time. Make yourself comfortable.
Shogun, the undisputed queen
If you have to choose the name of just one series in relation to the 2014 Emmys, it has to be Shogun. This historical drama produced by FX, is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by James Clavell in which the author transports us to the Japan in the 1600s, right at the beginning of the civil war. Part of its synopsis reads as follows:
Lord Yoshii Toranaga fights for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents gang up on him. When a mysterious European ship is found abandoned near a fishing village, its English captain, John Blackthorne, arrives filled with secrets that could help Toranaga rise to power and defeat the greater influence of Blackthorne's enemies: the Jesuit monks and Portuguese traders.
The proposal has been received without any hesitation 18 awards, thus making history in terms of the number of statuettes won at these awards. Not only that: it has become the first non-English language series to win the Emmy for best drama series (remember that The Squid Game was nominated but did not win) in addition to helping its protagonists become the first Japanese to be awarded as best actor in a drama and the first actress of Asian descent to be awarded as Best Actress in a Drama.
With such a track record, there's little more we can tell you. You have to see it.

The Bear: zero surprises in its excellence
The Bear left us all speechless when it was released in 2022 thanks to its frenetic pace, its foul-mouthed and chaotic script, and the fantastic performances of its entire cast. Although the surprise element is no longer there, the bar has been kept just as high with its following seasons (it is already in its third), so it is not surprising that it has once again become one of the greats winners night.
In case you don't know it, the series puts the spotlight on Carmy, a haute cuisine chef who decides to return to his hometown and take over the reins of his brother's sandwich business when he commits suicide. Such an event has marked a before and after in the life of our protagonist, who will try to put himself back together with his sister and the team that works in his new kitchen.
The series, which falls into the comedy category - although I personally think it has more drama than jokes - has taken home four statuettes, including the one for best lead actor for an immeasurable Jeremy Allen White and that of Best Guest Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis whose role as Carmy's mother is hard to forget.
You can watch it on Disney+.
My stuffed reindeer: the miniseries that everyone is talking about
This peculiar series, which you have surely heard about on more than one occasion, has won four awards. This proposal written, directed and presented by Richard Gadd had no less than 11 nominations and has managed to win four of them, including best screenplay o Best Supporting Actress for a miniseries.
Donny dreams of being a comedian but while he is still there he works as a waiter in a bar. There he meets Martha Scott, a woman who becomes so obsessed with him that she starts to harass him and chase him everywhere. This will make our protagonist investigate her, discovering that it is not the first time she has done this, and look for a way to stop her.
Su particular The story and the way it is told, combined with fantastic protagonists, make this series a must-see.
You have the series available on Netflix.
Bonus: Hacks
He has taken "only" 3 statuettes but since has taken the award for best comedy series from the very same The Bear, definitely deserved a special mention here. We also have the award for best lead actress and script, so you shouldn't lose track of this series in which a legendary Las Vegas comedian (reluctantly) hires a young writer as a scriptwriter for her monologues to help her relaunch her career and get back to what she was.
You have it Available in Max.
