How to turn on the Xbox with Alexa

Activate Alexa on Xbox

At activate Alexa on Xbox We will only have to allow the use of assistants with the Microsoft console. Once the option is operational, the wizard will be able to take control of the console so that it can successfully send the power on command. In any case, you must have some considerations when activating the function:

The console must be in Sleep mode, since if you have it set to complete shutdown mode it will not be able to hear Alexa commands.
You have to link your Microsoft account with Alexa so you can control the console.

Once these details are taken into account, the steps to follow to activate the function are quite simple.

The first thing you have to do is activate the Digital Assistants function. To do this go to Settings, Devices and Connections, Digital assistants.
Within the menu, activate the option Enable Digital Assistants. This way your Xbox will be visible by assistants like Alexa and the Google Assistant.
Go to the Alexa application on your mobile phone and access the Skills and Games section.
Search for Xbox, and install the Skill.
Complete the Skill configuration by entering the access details of your Microsoft account with which your Xbox is linked (it is the account with which you log in to the console).

After granting permissions, Alexa will be able to establish communication with your console from now on.
