If you dedicate yourself or want to dedicate yourself to the world of graphic design, you will know that there are some devices that are the perfect weapon to make the most of the artist's skills. We are talking about graphics tablets with an integrated screen, some models that are spectacular visually speaking and that normally have prohibitive prices. Until today.
Traditional tablets offer an opaque surface on which to draw, and this requires a fairly steep learning curve. Those who already have experience in the field may not find it so difficult, but those who are new to this type of gadget may take a long time to feel comfortable working with it.
For those cases, the ideal is to get a Graphic card that already includes a screen, a modality up to now quite expensive, but that Huion has been in charge of reducing to the impossible, thus achieving that many of us can access this very particular type of equipment.
But who is HUION? It is likely that the brand does not sound familiar to you, since it is an Asian firm that is now landing in Spain with its new Kamvas tablets, but that does not mean that it is a rookie in the sector. The firm, in fact, has extensive experience of more than 10 years in the development of products for design and art, having even created its own pressure sensor technology for its pencils. Almost nothing. Their motto also couldn't be more attractive: designing high-quality products at reasonable prices.
Now they have decided that it is time that in Spain we also get to know their great tools and, in fact, thanks to this we have had the opportunity to try its top model in three variants: It's about the Kamvas pro 24 4k, Kamvas pro 16 2,5k and Kamvas pro 13 2,5k. Let's get to know them in detail.
Main characteristics of the Kamvas pro
Before we get into the matter and let's unleash to our creativity, let's take a look at the technical qualities of these interesting tablets. Next, we leave you in an organized way and by points the characteristics of every one of them.
Kamvas Pro 13 2,5K

As you can see, these two models are very similar in qualities, differing basically in its size and in the inclusion of a physical button integrated into the side in the case of the Pro 16 (which can be configured to your liking to execute the action you want). Both, by the way, are accompanied by a support for inclined or almost vertical placement and thus allow the most comfortable work for artists who prefer this position. It should be noted that they are the first 13-inch and 16-inch graphics tablets with 2,5K resolution in the industry.
Kamvas Pro 24 4K
- Display: 23,8-inch diagonal panel and UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) and in 16:9 format. The density is 189 dots per inch. Anti-reflective treatment, 140% of the sRGB color gamut and full lamination screen.

As you can see, with this last model we played in another league. The tablet comes with its own control unit, with keys and a control thread as you will see in the images. It is a larger and heavier equipment, but perfectly prepared, with the inclusion of integrated non-slip feet and also prepared for VESA support.
Draw as if it were paper
Once known and with all its qualities in mind, it is time to move on to the experiential part of the product. Once started, its use could not be more comfortable and with better results.
The tablets offer a good sensitivity (which you can always adjust in your preferences along with other parameters such as the line or the pressure), thus allowing an effective line in various finishes and which will delight those who work with this type of equipment.
Needless to say they are Compatible with both Mac and Windows from the moment they connect (and after installing an app), allowing control of the entire system, being able to use the pen as a pointer to select files, open them, etc. The compatibility does not end here: in addition to using (as expected) Adobe, these HUION also support the free license programs as can be the case of GIMP or Inkscape, to name two solutions.
What model to choose?
As for which model we recommend by size, each one has its pros and cons: the version Kamvas Pro 13 2,5K It is very manageable to carry from one place to another, but of course, we have a smaller panel for drawing. On the opposite side we have Kamvas Pro 24 4K, a delight for the senses at the screen level (both in terms of proportions and resolution) but more tedious to move from one side to the other - and note that it is still lighter than the Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 (7,2 kg). We do not know if virtue will be in the center or not on this occasion, but perhaps Kamvas Pro 16 2,5k be the most balanced in these two important aspects.
Even so, we have liked the three models a lot, and we are sure that each one of them has its own ideal audience (from professionals and animation studios in the case of 24 to independent artists and clients who start if we have in mind the versions of 13 and 16). One by the way that you won't have to worry about with unnecessary configurations, given how easy HUION makes it in that sense, offering tablets that are very comfortable to configure and use immediately -something that is always appreciated.
