As we already told you a few weeks ago, the Wednesday series has been quite a surprise for the platform (and for its audience, of course), managing to place among the most watched series of the firm's history in a matter of nothing. Probably to date the only reference you had to the Addams character was Christina Ricci, however, throughout the character's history there have been other faces that have also been in charge of giving life to this sinister girl. Who is Wednesday, the sinister daughter of the Addams
Many may not know it, but the Addams family has its origins on paper. the american cartoonist Charles Addams was in charge of creating this dysfunctional family that appeared for the first time in The New Yorker and whose members, at that time, did not even have names. It would be in 1964, when it was decided to adapt for television for the first time, when its creator baptized them all, giving it the name of Wednesday (Wednesday in Spain and Merlina in Latin America) for a popular children's song of the time.
Although physically he has always been the same (pale skin, dark hair, always with braids), in the 60's series, the character was much kinder and sweeter than we currently know. she served like that counterpoint from the rest of his family, although he had somewhat bizarre and dark tastes for his age (6 years old) and always dressed in black.
Once he makes the leap to the big screen with the famous 90s movies it ends up shaping the personality and character of Wednesday: she has much more sadistic tastes, a special interest in witchcraft and death, and her pranks have very dangerous consequences for those around her (without seeming to care about that).

Lisa Loring
This is the First actress to play Wednesday in the aforementioned TV series from the 60s. He was from 1961 to 1966 giving life to the character, enough to become a benchmark to such an extent that he currently continues to attend conventions in which the fans of that series ask him autographs.
In 1977 a special was made for TV called Halloween with the New Addams Family in which Lisa played the Addams' daughter again, this time in an adult version.

Very little is known about this actress who put herself in the shoes of Wednesday when she was a little girl to The Addams Family Fun House, a special that was made for American TV in 1973. It barely lasts 30 minutes and was recorded in black and white.
