ASUS just presented at the Computex its new ScreenPad Plus technology, a secondary screen that comes as a natural evolution of the ScreenPad that we could see previously in the Zenbook and Zenbook Pro, with the difference that it now offers a considerable size and is capable of completely changing the user experience in many applications.
More than a secondary screen
The idea is surprising as soon as you take a look at the official images, although its technical specifications do not fall short either. Is 14 inch It has a resolution of 3.840 x 1.100 pixels (4K), and will serve to extend and accompany the main 4-inch 15,6K OLED screen that is mounted on the new ZenBook Pro Duo. Thanks to the software developed by ASUS, a side menu will allow you to modify the different available settings, in addition to having an infinite number of shortcuts at your disposal, although the really interesting thing comes when using applications.
The screen will be able to dock full screen windows to enjoy the menus and toolbars of different programs with total comfort, thus being able to have touch controls with a much more complete interface than we could have in the Touch Bar, the touch solution proposed by Apple in its MacBook Pro.

This ASUS solution is of course quite interesting, since it also solves one of the space utilization problems in a 15-inch computer. Available with the new ZenBook Pro Duo, these computers can be configured with processors Core i9, graphics RTX 2060 and to 32 GB of RAM, very high specifications that will surely be reflected in the autonomy of the battery, something that, by the way, we would also have to see how it suffers from having to give life to a second 14-inch screen.
