Lovecraft Territory it is a special series. And it is that, in case you do not know, the HBO proposal is based on the novel of the same name by Matt Ruff which, in turn, pays tribute to what for many is the greatest exponent of the horror narrative: HP Lovecraft. This writer, born in 1890 in the United States, has a collection of horror stories with his own tremendously imaginative universe and full of creatures that fit into what is called cosmic terror.
In the HBO series its protagonist, Atticus Black (played by Jonathan Majors) is an avid reader and fan of Lovecraft's novels. What he does not imagine is that when he embarks on a journey through America in the 50s in search of his missing father, he will end up finding himself precisely in an adventure in the purest Lovecraftian style in which, of course, racism is the order of the day.
The person in charge of bringing Ruff's work to the small screen is none other than J.J. Abrams (Lost, Westworld), who has been in charge of adapting a work, a priori complicated, with the support of HBO. The result, at least in the first episode that can be seen, is that of a different, dynamic and entertaining proposal that we hope will keep the bar high in its remaining 9 chapters -as you know, the on-demand content service premieres the chapters on a weekly basis .

As we pointed out, HBO has decided to release the first chapter of Lovecraft Territory in open for everyone to enjoy.
