One of our favorite LEGO has a new retro version

LEGO Land Rover Classic Discovery

The set of LEGO and Land Rover we love. The level of detail included in the motorized set absolutely wowed us in our review, so as you can tell, this new model just announced today has immediately grabbed our attention. And is that, who could resist a Land Rover Classic Defender from 1983?

The medium scale vehicle sets are really addicting. LEGO knows this, so they did not want to miss the opportunity to launch an edition dedicated to the legendary Land Rover Defender from the 80s, an invincible piece of history that is capable of slipping through practically any terrain without flinching.

As can be seen in the official video, the set is quite similar to the Land Rover Defender that the brand launched previously and which is currently discontinued. The suspension, the upper anchorages or the steering functions with the steering wheel are identical, except that the aesthetics are obviously similar to that of the 1983 model, including all the accessories and extras that made this model the ideal one for going safari.

And it is that the luggage rack, the front winch, the raised air intake, the luggage rack on the roof... all the details have been taken care of with great care, maintaining a real scale that allow an unbeatable appearance to be achieved in this representation of LEGO blocks.

a limited set

Unsurprisingly, the set will be quite limited, and like the first version of the LEGO Defender, it could eventually disappear into discontinuation. It is part of the LEGO Icons family, so this is a rather special design.

With dimensions of 32 x 16 x 16 centimeters, the set has a total of 2336 pieces, and could become the perfect gift for all those adventurers or owners of a Land Rover.

The price of EUR 239,99, this set 10317 will go on sale on April 4, so we will have to wait a bit until we can get our hands on this unique piece of blocks. Of course, if you are part of the LEGO VIP club, you can buy it a few days before, since on April 1 it can be yours.
