Anyone would say that the Goyas have given strength to Netflix. The low-demand content platform has just announced that it is preparing not one or two but until five original Spanish series that will be released in the not too distant future in its grid of offers. And the best thing is that we already have the first details of each of the titles.
Five new projects for 2020
Netflix has announced today that it is continuing its commitment to Spanish content with the production of five new projects that will be released on the platform from 2020, as confirmed by Francisco Ramos, vice president of Original Series of the house.
The titles, which will be available at the time in the 190 countries in which Netflix operates, boast of being quite varied and receive the titles of The neighbor (a "down-to-earth" superhero comedy based on the graphic novels of the same name); The mess you leave (miniseries with a female cast also based on a book that has the title name); Christmas days (a family drama); Idhun's memories (based on the trilogy of Idhun's memories by Laura Gallego); and Valeria (a drama with hints of comedy based on the popular saga by Elísabet Benavent).
Netflix also remembers that it has other original Spanish series whose new seasons are in development. It is the case of Las chicas del cable, Elite y The paper house, the latter series that announced its return a few months ago to the uproar and joy of all its followers. We are still waiting for the arrival of the first Spanish animated series, Klaus, and Hache, High Seas, Criminal, Seventeen (for this year) and Home (for 2020). Which is not little.

The neighbor
Things are not going too well for Javier. He barely makes ends meet with a precarious job, his business of t-shirts with demotivating phrases hasn't quite succeeded, and his relationship with Lola has been tumbling for a couple of months. The last thing Javier needed is for an alien to fall on top of him and give him his superpowers before he died. Now, Javier is a superhero, and he's not doing one bit better than before. It turns out that superpowers are useless when you get fired from your job or when your girlfriend decides you two need to take some time off. Luckily there is José Ramón, her neighbor, who is going to teach her to use her powers for good and hide her secret identity, especially Lola, who has decided to turn her mediocre career as a journalist around by investigating Titán, the mysterious superhero.
Directed by Nacho Vigalondo, written by Miguel Esteban and Raúl Navarro and produced by Zeta Audiovisual. The cast includes Quim Gutiérrez, Clara Lago, Catalina Sopelana and Adrián Pino.
The mess you leave
With the intention of giving her marriage a second chance, Raquel, a young literature teacher, accepts a job in the town where her husband grew up. She will soon find out that another teacher committed suicide, possibly a victim of bullying by their own students. Raquel will begin her own search to discover the truth in a place where everyone seems to keep secrets.
It is written and created by Carlos Montero. The novel on which she is based, published by Planeta, won the 2016 Primavera Novel Award.
Christmas days
Christmas Days presents the Christmas celebration of four sisters in their family home during three different seasons that, in turn, represent three key stages in their lives: adolescence, adulthood and old age. Through the passage of time and different perspectives, family dynamics, secrets and personal confrontations can be seen.
Created, directed and written by Pau Freixas, together with Clara Esparrach. The main cast is made up of Verónica Echegui, Anna Moliner, Nerea Barros, Elena Anaya, Victoria Abril, Verónica Forqué, Charo López and Ángela Molina.
Valeria
Valeria is a writer in crisis, both because of her novels and because of her husband and the emotional distance that separates them. She takes refuge in her three best friends: Carmen, Lola and Nerea, who support her during her trip. Valeria and her friends are immersed in a whirlwind of emotions about love, friendship, jealousy, infidelity, doubts, heartbreak, secrets, work, worries, joys, and dreams about the future.

Idhun's memories
On the day that the astral conjunction of the three suns and three moons occurred in Idhún, Ashran the Necromancer seized power and began the reign of terror of the winged serpents.
