Deadline and Variety have echoed important and interesting news for all fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Nick Fury will have his own series on Disney+. It will be a spin-off and although there are not many details yet, it is satisfying to know that it will finally have its own space.
Nick Fury is coming to Disney+ with his own spin off
One of the most important connectors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, if not the most, has always been Nick Fury. The director of the SHIELD agency has always been there and his figure has been used to link the different stories of the rest of the superheroes.
Sometimes he was only seen for a brief moment and served to leave clues about future films. One of the easiest examples to remember is when at the end of Endgame he activates the pager that sends the message to Captain Marvel to alert her. Although in other films it is also true that she was seen with a little more presence, as in the Captain Marvel solo film.
In any case, until now he never enjoyed a leading role at the height of the real importance of the character. But all that seems to be over. Various sources have reported that Samuel L Jackson (Nick Fury) will have his own series and all fans will be able to learn more about everything he has to contribute to the UCM.
What Nick Fury will we see in the spin-off?
To the question of what Nick Fury we will see there is no answer at the moment. The project is at a very early stage and the only thing is that he will be one of those responsible for Mr. Robot, kyle bradstreet, who will be in charge of directing the project, assuming roles as screenwriter and executive producer.
So we will have to wait to find out more information and see if the Nick Fury that will be presented to us will play that role of agent who has just arrived at the SHIELD agency, when he just meets the Captain, or when a large part of all the events seen during the saga of the infinity have already been developed.
As a Marvel fan it is likely that each one has their own preferences, but in part a mixture of both stages would be nice. So surely it would be easier to understand many things if we see Fury's first years in the agency and also the later ones. Knowing the evolution, how he understands everything that is happening and the different superheroes and threats that appear.
In summary, while we all speculate about the future series, the positive thing about all this is that although the Marvel film releases and the start of this new phase are going to be affected by the pandemic, at the series level it does seem that we can start enjoying more adventures quickly. Or so we hope, because there is a great desire to seewanda and vision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki as well as others that are yet to come.
