These are not good times for the cinema, as you already know more than enough. The dance of dates and premieres has not stopped since last year the pandemic struck the entire planet and even today the industry continues to struggle to launch some of the titles it had planned for 2020. Among them is Venom: Let there be Carnage, which has suffered a new delay by Sony. You're going to have to keep waiting a little longer.
Venom 2, the next Marvel at Sony
Directed by Ruben Fleischer, known as Venom 2 It is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of the year. With it we can enjoy one of the best-known Marvel villains and the one that generates the most interest, Venom, after a first installment in theaters that, despite not having very good reviews from the specialized press, did reap a fantastic collection in box office -enough to think about this second between, of course.
The charismatic Tom Hardy will once again be in charge of putting himself in the shoes of this character who, as we saw in the post-credit scene of the first part, was in jail with Cletus Cassady, better known as Carnage, one of Spider-Man's most bloodthirsty villains. -note that Venom: Let there be Carnage will be translated in Spain as Venom: There Will Be Carnage. From there, the story of this new film will unfold, for which we still do not even have an official trailer due to the delays to which it has been subjected.
And it is that Sony was already forced to move the tape due to the COVID-19 pandemic and now, once again, announces changes to its premiere, causing fans of this interesting character to have to keep waiting.
A new delay in movie theaters
As we say, it is not the first time that the company has been in the situation of having to move the premiere of the film on the agenda. In principle, the film was going to be released in October 2020, but the closure of movie theaters and capacity limitations caused Sony to think better of it and decide switch to 2021. So far the new date was June 21 of this year, however, now we know that a new delay postpones the tape until September. Because?
Apparently that same day the premiere of Fast and Furious 9 (which was scheduled for the end of May) and that has not pleased the firm responsible for Venom, which cannot afford to have anyone shadow it at the box office after almost a year of delay. Therefore, a new date has already been announced with a specific day in the calendar: it will be in on the 17th of September when finally Venom: Let there be Carnage dress long -if nothing prevents it again, of course.
