What premieres to see this weekend on Netflix, HBO, Amazon and Disney +

The weekend arrives and you may be wondering what can you see on the different platforms in which you are signed up. Well, here we are to clear up your doubts and ask you some ideas, with the best proposals that have either arrived these days or are released right from now until Sunday. Get comfortable, disconnect (finally) from everything and take aim!

Proposals for the weekend on Netflix

Although we do not have a huge display of premieres, there are some other titles that have reached the platform these days that deserve your attention. If you like Anime, you can not lose sight Pacific Rim: No Man's Land. It is an animated series directed by Jae Hong Kim and Hiroyuki Hayashi in which the adventures of two brothers are narrated in an Australia devastated by the kaijus. They will be forced to pilot an abandoned giant mech (known as Jaeger in the Pacific Rim universe) while they face terrible monsters in search of their parents.

This is a new proposal produced by Polygon Picture and Legendary Pictures with short chapters of about 21 minutes and that is getting very good reviews.

The other great option that we are left with this weekend and that is already in the Netflix catalog is Nevenka, which is generating quite a stir because of the subject it deals with. In the documentary you will learn more about the story of Nevenka Fernández, a councilor for the Treasury of the Ponferrada City Council (León) who was forced to resign and denounce the mayor for sexual harassment (with whom she had had a relationship but which she decided to end after despite the mayor's refusal).

A proposal that will stir consciences with a woman who, as many have said, starred in the first "Me too" in Spain 20 years ago.

And what to see on HBO?

HBO hasn't made big premieres this week, but at least we can count on new episodes of two series that just started a few days ago. The first one is Superman & Lois. It turns out that Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti believed that there was room for another story of the DC superhero and they have put together this TV series in which we see our hero in a red cape with his beloved Lois.

Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch are in charge of giving life to the protagonists, whose plot is set in the Arrowverso, so that it has continuity with other TV series of the franchise. Now it is on the second episode (one is released on the platform every week) and it has already been confirmed that there will be a second season.

Also available for a few days the second chapter of Allen vs. Farrow. This documentary is quite controversial since it returns to remove the old accusations against the director Woody Allen in relation to the alleged abuse that he exerted on his stepdaughter. Many consider this production as a revenge on the part of his ex-wife, Mia Farrow (who appears in this production, of course), years after this issue was buried due to lack of evidence with which to blame him.

HBO has not been stupid and instead of launching the documentary, of four episodes, in its entirety, it is reserving it little by little, releasing a new chapter every week. This weekend is ideal to catch up if you haven't seen it yet.

Premieres for the weekend on Amazon Prime Video

Eddie Murphy fans are in luck because just today, Friday, the movie opens on Amazon The King of Zamunda. It is a continuation of the famous 80s movie Prince Zamunda in which we see the actor - who anyone would say is sleeping in formaldehyde - as the protagonist in this new story directed by Craig Brewer.

In the plot we will see how the monarch Akeem finds out that he has a son in the United States, so he decides to immediately travel to the North American country to meet him and let him know that he is the heir to his kingdom. Paramount Pictures is the producer of this tape distributed by Amazon Prime Video and it is having mixed reviews: some are excited about the sequel while others see that it has lost the grace that it did offer in the first part. He's going to have to see it and judge for yourself.

What to see today (or tomorrow or Sunday) on Disney+

On the animated mouse platform par excellence, we are also left with two outstanding entries of everything that has arrived these days -remember that now you also have star access. On the one hand, we want to highlight the premiere for the youngest of Raya and the Last Dragon, which will transport us to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived in harmony for a long time until the latter were forced to sacrifice themselves to save humanity from a major threat. Now this evil force has returned, so Raya will set out to find the last and legendary dragon to save the town from her.

Be careful because this premiere is type Mulan: It is a "premium" release and therefore has an additional cost that will have to be paid to see it (even if you are already subscribed to the content service). Keep that in mind.

The other great premiere that you can also enjoy this weekend (although we recommend that you do it as soon as you can, if possible today, so as not to eat spoilers) is the final episode of Scarlet Witch and Vision. The great series of Marvel Studios comes to an end to end the story of Wanda and Vision in Westview. Or so we hope. As things are, we can expect nothing "good" from this Season Finale that seems emotional and exciting in equal parts.

Be careful because it has already been confirmed that there will be no second season of this mini series, so the continuity of the plot seen here (whatever happens in it) will already connect with the plot of Spider-Man 3 and, above all, with film Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, where we know that Scarlet Witch will appear again.
