La new PowerShot G7 X Mark III It is the ideal camera for any content creator on the Internet in photography and video. Or that, at least, is what Canon wants us to think of its new advanced compact. We recently talked about the possibility of a refresh of the popular PowerShot G7 X Mark II. A camera that, along with Sony's RX100 series, had become one of the favorites for many content creators. Well, that new model has already officially arrived.
As you could already see, the G7 X Mark III arrives with better features, but let's review the most important ones. This new Canon camera includes:

Of course, if the jump to 4K video recording is important, the new PowerShot G7 X Mark III has two novelties that for many will be key: 3,5mm microphone input and Live Streaming.
The microphone input is vital for any video content creator. It is true that the integrated microphones of these cameras do not give a bad performance, and even less so if it is for quick recordings in a vlog-type format. But they are far from any external microphone, even more basic models like the Rode Video Micro.
Therefore, adding this connection makes the camera a leap in possibilities and uses. In addition, it is much more understandable that it includes a microphone connection when we see its other great novelty: Live Streaming.
Thanks to its Wi-Fi connectivity you can connect the camera to a network and perform live broadcasts on your YouTube channel. This gives a lot of play, not only for the youtuber profile that makes gameplays, but also even for the broadcast of events it could be used.
The new Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III convinces at the specification level, and surely it will also do so in practice, given what has been seen with its previous version. It will still have limitations compared to higher-end DSLRs or mirrorless, but this is an advanced compact and looking at it as such is very attractive.

Along with the G7 X Mark III, a new version of the G5 X has also arrived. In this recently presented Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II, the improvements mean that you are facing another interesting camera for day-to-day life and video recording.
With a very similar design to the G7 and G5 before it, it's another compact with advanced capabilities and some pretty attractive specs.
