JLab has a new accessory that is capable of convert any type of glasses into an Amazon Echo Frame or Bose Frames. For this, it has two modules that are attached to the temples of the glasses and thanks to its Bluetooth connectivity you can send and play any type of audio through its integrated speakers.

Beyond the classics in-ear headphonesWhether they are in-ear, over-ear, etc., there are other types of personal devices that allow you to listen to music or any other type of audio wherever you go. One these are the bone conduction headphones, although lately other proposals have become popular, such as Amazon Echo Frames or Bose Frames.
These last two solutions are, let's say, glasses with an integrated audio system that connects to the mobile device or not via a Bluetooth connection. And although they are something very particular, it must be admitted that they have their point of interest and certain advantages with respect to some traditional headphones.
First of all you are not "blocking" your ears and you can continue to hear everything around you normally. However, they also give you the option to enjoy music, podcasts, etc., without excessively disturbing those around you.
And secondly, by not having the ear constantly occupied with headphones, the feeling of comfort is much greater throughout the day. Although here it is clear that it will depend a lot on each type of user and how they tolerate the continued use of this type of accessory.
Well, with all this in mind, JLab has launched a new device called JBuds FramesTwo modules with Bluetooth connectivity that are attached to the temples of any type of glasses to turn them into solutions such as the aforementioned Amazon or Bose. Of course, with the advantage that you can use your favorite glasses, which includes everything from eyeglasses to sunglasses.
The latter is important, because there are many users who use prescription glasses to solve problems such as myopia or astigmatism. So if you wanted to have a solution of this type and you couldn't see how by not being able to renounce said graduation, then you already have the solution.
The negative part is that logically at an aesthetic level you will not be in front of the most attractive option on the market. After all, it is a module with relatively generous dimensions that will attract attention, in addition to the additional weight that could make it somewhat uncomfortable for you. The latter should not happen, but again it will depend a lot on each one.
Affordable Personal Audio
Aesthetic issue aside, these JBuds include 16mm speakers which according to the manufacturer offer a very satisfactory sound experience for the user and the music will not be heard by those nearby. Or in theory you would have to pay close attention to really hear what is playing. This is achieved by directing the sound towards the user's ear and not projecting it omnidirectionally as other solutions sometimes do.
Also has IPX4 protection so that in the case of doing sports with them, you do not fear because a little sweat or even some water falls on them if it is a rainy day. Detail that is frankly appreciated if you are thinking of being able to use them to do sports without affecting or reducing your safety when you do certain outdoor activities.
With all this, the JBuds Frames will launch in early spring 2021 and will be priced at about 60 euros approximately. It is not a bad price if this type of accessories convinces you or if you simply want to try them out of curiosity. Of course, if you are looking for the opposite, sound quality and isolation from outside noise, if you do not mind that they are also generous in size, the best option is the Bose QC Earbuds.
