Sennheiser has some new headphones in its catalog. It's about the Momentum TrueWireless 2, new generation of a quite popular range that is now reinforced with a greater autonomy, better noise cancellation and fantastic sound. This is what you should know about them.
New Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2
Sennheiser has decided it's time to revamp its range of Momentum wireless headphones. The new generation thus arrives, picking up the baton for a model that quite convinced the public, with an elegant and attractive proposal in terms of design, quite comfortable to wear in the ear and, most importantly, with good sound quality.
It is not for less. The German company is an audio specialist, so the bar was set quite high with its first in-ear wireless headphones. Now with this second generation, that feeling does not change and, at least on paper, it seems that the firm is once again fully compliant, improving key aspects of this type of device and keeping the main thing intact: how they sound.
The Momentum True Wireless 2 has a very continuous line at the design level with their predecessors. They once again go for the sober gray color, a compact drawing and for a protection and cargo box that, once again, is covered in fabric.
What changes is its battery, as we already anticipated. Autonomy is now planted in the 7 hours of playback, a really good mark for a wireless type of headphones - we are talking about almost 3 and a half hours more than the previous generation, in addition. If we add it to what its case adds, we are talking about 28 hours in total -12 more than the first Momentum True Wireless. As reported The Verge, the Bluetooth chip has also been changed, which caused certain problems with a faster-than-normal wear of autonomy in some units.
The new headphones also enjoy a new active noise cancellation more effective and in a Transparent Hearing mode that, with a touch, will allow you to better hear what is around you and have a conversation without taking them off. At the level of connections and other information of interest, you should know that they have a Bluetooth 5.1 connection, AAC and AptX support and that they are resistant to splashes (they have IPX4 certification).
They certainly have 7mm dynamic drivers, integrated equalizer and allow the use of only one earphone, in case you want. They are controlled by touch, touching their surface, and it goes without saying that there is a mobile app for the Sennheiser occasion that will let you manage some aspects of these Momentums.
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, price and availability
The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 can be found on the market in two colors: black and white. The first model will reach the European market at early april while the lighter shade will do so a little later, with no dates yet specified.
Regarding its price, these headphones continue to be in the high range of this type of equipment, with a cost of 299,99 dollars / euros, the same as the first generation cost at the time - now, by the way, you can find on Amazon at 199 euros. Of course, seeing the improvements implemented, perhaps until its cost is much more justified now.
