The most anticipated phone of Huawei, definitely. Two days ago they leaked the first images and name of the foldable of the firm and a few hours ago photos and even a video of the team in action. Even so, nothing like knowing it now by right thanks to the launch of the first phone that folds from the company that destroys everything: welcome Mate X.
Mate X, Huawei's first foldable phone
It seems incredible, but this week we are all witnessing a big step in the world of telephony. Samsung introduced on Wednesday the world's first foldable phone and now we are knowing the second, the Huawei Mate X.
The telephone has just made an appearance in the event's audience that the firm is celebrating in Barcelona, letting us see what this interesting smartphone looks like with a screen capable of bending no less than 8 inches -It is therefore larger than the Samsung proposal.

We already anticipate that the panel folds "outwards", on the contrary of how Samsung's Galaxy Fold does it, something that could come to suppose an advantage for our protagonist as it does not have "gaps" when closed thanks to its special hinge -which also allows for a thickness 6mm thinner than Samsung's.
Of course, the terminal does not fold right in half; actually a third of it does, thus proposing another type of design and different mechanics within this new type of phones.

You will not find too thick bezels here either (rather the opposite) or notch, something that Huawei has been in charge of pointing out with an image in which it directly compares the phone with its rival, the Galaxy Fold –no hot cloths, oops.
On your screen the multitask It also makes a lot of sense, thanks to the comfort with which you can work on your phone with several apps open at the same time without feeling like you're running out of space. As for turning on the equipment, it has a side button that acts as a fingerprint reader.
The phone by the way has 5G technology thanks to its processor Kirin 980 with B modemalong 5000, thus being already prepared for this connectivity and at the same time joining the car of the moment in this fair -a two in 1 go. It is also accompanied by a cover to protect it.
As for the battery, we are talking about two modules, one on "each side" of the phone, achieving 4.500 mAh overall (whose 85% charges in just 30 minutes with the 55W super charger), and just in case you're wondering, yes, it supports dual SIM cards (one of them 5G).
Price and availability of the Mate X
All we expected a lower price from the Samsung team but this time it could not be. Even the CEO of the company has had to apologize, pointing out that it was most likely not the figure expected by everyone and explaining the costs and technology behind a product like this.
The Huawei Mate X will cost 2.299 euros with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. It can be purchased in the middle of the year, although we still do not have a specific date of sale.
