Since the presentation of the Mac mini, the Apple team became, at least for me, eGPU Mac. A fairly capable team with an important weak point for many users: graphic power. Not having a dedicated GPU, compared to the iMac range, it started at a disadvantage. ANIMAIONIC and its way of giving vitamins to the Mac Mini

In addition, the final price of it would also be a barrier for some, since during the financing process it would cost a few $800. Then it would go up as is logical and as has happened with other projects within the financing platform.
Therefore, although the idea is great and fits perfectly into what many would have asked Apple for, we will have to be patient and see if they actually manage to materialize it or not.
