If you were about to watch the broadcast of your favorite streamer and you have run into a strange error in the browser. Relax, you are not alone. It seems that all users in Spain are affected by a domain blocking problem that is leaving Twitch servers without access. But what exactly has happened?
Bug #2000 on Twitch
Around 14:30 p.m., many users are reporting a strange error on the Twitch website, as all those who are trying to connect to a stream are receiving the message “A network error has occurred. Try again. (Bug #2000)”. This is a serious problem that prevents access to the servers from which the content is being broadcast, but far from being a problem of its own that affects Twitch technicians, it is actually a problem national lockdown that is affecting all users in Spain.
For those of you who get "Error 2000" in @TwitchUK:
It seems that the network @orange_es / @jazztel_es has blocked the *.ttvnw.net domains, which Twitch uses for live streams. "Content blocked by request of the Competent Authority", as if it were a pirated website. https://t.co/qEbqfy89cU pic.twitter.com/JgQc6tgZyp

Content blocked at the request of the competent authority
The blocking of domains and web servers is usually related to the content of pirated broadcasts and the propagation of video signals in violation of Copyright. Something must have happened with a Twitch account that a complaint has pointed directly to the general servers, so we imagine that, instead of requesting the ban of the account and the IP of that person who was issuing illegal content, the competent authority has sent the operators the order to block a specific server. This is what they usually do when they want to take down soccer match broadcasting websites, or ROM download websites.
Not only Jazztel, that we will not be able to see any video of @twitches but in more operators because it has been due to an institutional blockade. https://t.co/Fj1MK41GkR pic.twitter.com/i58Lh93i8c

And of course, the world cup has been messed up.
No access to Twitch
What at first some thought was a specific error by their service provider, reality has shown that all users in Spain are the ones who are affected by this unique problem. The most knowledgeable of the subject have been able to verify how the domains *.ttvnw.net They have been blocked by providers such as Jazztel, Orange, Movistar and Vodafone, making it impossible to access live broadcasts from an Internet connection with IP in Spain.
There's a solution?
At the moment, the only possible solution to bypass this block is to use a VPN that pretends that your connection comes from another place. The Opera browser has its own built-in VPN, but you can use other similar services to bypass the ban.
At the moment Twitch has not officially communicated anything, but the problems are more than evident, and social networks are filling up with comments about it. Are you having problems accessing the service? Leave a comment and tell us what problems you are experiencing.
