What to watch this weekend on HBO Max, Netflix and Amazon Prime

the rings of power

One more Friday we take care that you do not enter a loop without knowing what to put and we propose the best releases of the week to enjoy on Netflix, HBo Max and Amazon Prime Video. If you want your only warm-up today (or tomorrow) to be what to order at home to sit quietly in front of your Smart TV, you're just in the right place. Forward.

What to watch on HBO Max

There are no big news this week within HBO Max, but we can offer you several very powerful ongoing series and the occasional well-known movie. Such is the case that we will remind you, like every Friday, that there is a new chapter of House of Dragon waiting for you and that in it we can say that the pieces are finished being placed so that the famous dance of dragons begins. If yours is more the dystopia of The Handmaid's Tale, know that there are also new episodes waiting for you, released this past Wednesday.

And what do we have in the world of cinema? Well, two very (but very) well-known two-sided films that will surely entertain you. The first one is Ad Astra, Brad Pitt's space proposal released in 2019 in which he gives life to Roy McBride, an astronaut who will enroll in a mission to travel to the outer limits of the solar system in order to find a solution to the great threat that looms on our planet and incidentally find his father (also an astronaut) lost years ago.

In case you prefer other types of stories, give a chance to The Aviator, a 2004 film directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, recreating the biography of aviation pioneer Howard Hughes. A fairly well-known, entertaining title that garnered a good number of nominations and awards (including several Oscars, although, no, DiCaprio didn't get it until The reborn in 2016).

What to watch on Netflix

Do you want to prepare your body for Halloween? Then you can go take a look at Vigilant. This Netflix series premiered yesterday on the platform, thus offering us a disturbing story of suspense and fear that, oddly enough, is based on a true story. With a powerful cast that includes Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale, Jennifer Coolidge and Mia Farrow, among others, it introduces us to the Brannock family, who have just moved into their dream home in a (seemingly) quiet neighborhood. They never imagined, therefore, that their great illusion would become their condemnation, when they began to receive letters from someone who calls himself "the Watcher." This will be just the beginning as the sinister secrets of the neighborhood will soon begin to come to light.

What to watch on Amazon Prime Video

If you are subscribed to amazon prime, you should know that you have access to its entire catalog of films, series and documentaries (which is not exactly small) and with it, of course, the Season Finale of The Rings of Power. The epic series of the Lord of the Rings universe has reached the end of its first part, which means that we now have more than a year left to enjoy his story again. In the meantime, you will be able to savor this closing in which the cards are finally put on the table to reveal Sauron's identity and let us know who the Stranger is -in this case they do not confirm it but they will drop a piece of information that can make you suspicious about of your identity. If you don't want spoilers, you have to see it this weekend - preferably today.
