Activision already has everything ready for the launch of Warzone, the mode of battle royale that will come to Modern Warfare in the next few hours, and that is that the main menu tab that until now was labeled "Confidential", has given way to a countdown that quotes us in 24 hours. What surprise hides this stopwatch? Easy: war zone.
Everything we know about Warzone
The new battle royale game mode will finally arrive on March 10, and it will do so by allowing everyone to participate. 150 players on the same map, being able to play individually, in pairs or in trios. Blocked until now, the new mode will appear tomorrow, March 10 at 16:00 p.m. in Spain according to the timer that has recently appeared in the game's main menu.
With this launch we could put an end once and for all to several weeks of speculation and leaks, which ensured that the game would arrive on March 3, but that for obvious reasons it will not be released to the public until the 10th.
A free game
The most interesting news, however, will be that Warzone, as the mode is known (we don't know if it will have a Spanish translation as Zona de Guerra), will be a completely free mode that will allow players from all platforms to play and link (PS4 , Xbox One and PC). This means that all those who have not purchased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare They will still be able to play Warzone by downloading only the free game mode.
For now we do not know the advantages that having the full game will offer compared to the free version, but for now it seems that those who spent the money in their day will be able to play battle royale before anyone else, since the countdown will allow them to access Warzone before the mode is available to download separately. Rumors say that the free version will come out hours later (about 3 hours later), although we will have to wait for official statements to find out for sure.
Warzone's biggest leak
In addition, today we have been able to see a fairly important leak of information, since one of the people invited by Activision to test the mode and record its content for the launch, has mistakenly published the video on YouTube revealing many of the details that we will discover in the game.
Although the YouTuber has eliminated the video as soon as possible, the network has been filled with replicas of it, so it is currently impossible to eliminate the trace of said material.
