There are secrets within video games that many developers will take to the grave. Whether they've never been discovered before or are technically impossible to discover without cheating, video games hide more winks and easter eggs than we could possibly find. The last example? This of the very God of War.
Hacks that let you see Easter eggs
It all comes thanks to a well-known modder named Lance McDonald (famous for his homemade works for Dark Souls y Bloodborne). As he has shared on his Twitter account, he has achieved manipulating the God of War camera so that we can see beyond what the scene plan does not invite to look at. Something like a forced behind the scenes.
The work has managed to free the camera to be able to move it at will, thus being able to see the entire scene from any possible angle. The result is spectacular, since the feat allows you to see the characters at all times without suffering cuts or jumps, as if it were a movie. Something that has allowed him to receive congratulations from Cory Barlog himself.
Good day's work. God of War (PS4)'s camera fully hacked. No clipping, ability to start and stop time freely, and works fully during cutscenes. It's activated by entering special button presses on the map screen. Works great! pic.twitter.com/DaoBEIPOck

Once this was achieved, McDonald was able to see the final battle of the game between Kratos and Baldur from a privileged perspective, something that, by surprise, led him to discover a secret that absolutely left him amazed.
The following images and text will contain spoilers about the story and ending of God of War. Don't say we haven't warned you.
The secret of the end of God of War
If you've played the game and completed it (which is normal if you're reading these lines), you'll surely remember the moment Kratos manages to kill Baldur. The scene ends with Kratos breaking his neck and throwing him off the cliff, a shot in which we lose sight of our enemy's body to take control of Kratos and return to the cabin.
Well then, what about Baldur's body? Does it fall into the void like nothing? Thanks to McDonald's discovery, today we can know that the developers did not seem satisfied with that tragic ending (from the antagonist's side), so they decided to allow Bladur to say goodbye in style: with a comb.
Absolutely laughing at this, can't wait to see what else is hidden in the game off-camera pic.twitter.com/V3r8dV4gMw

That's right, that image you see is the gesture Baldur makes as he falls down the gorge. A screwdriver way by the developers to leave a curious signature in the game. There available to anyone, only for the most curious like McDonald. Luckily for everyone he wanted to share it, so everyone is happy.
