Kaze Emanuar is a modder with a YouTube channel that is in charge of uploading videos with his creations made with the Super Mario 64 engine, and the truth is that he has really striking works. But none like the project that he has decided to carry out, which is none other than giving life to some other Kingdom of Super Mario Odyssey.
Mario Odyssey 64
With the help of another modder called Biobak, these guys are managing to bring to life two of the kingdoms that we could see in Super Mario Odyssey from Nintendo Switch, with the peculiarity of running on a modded version of nintendo 64. As you can see, the textures and lighting are unmistakable, although the work is of such magnitude that its creators have managed to include some interesting additions such as the launch of Cappy (Mario's cap) or interactive elements such as electric teleportation cables.
Here's the updated Sand Kingdom music for @KazeSSBM's MO:64. Keep in mind that the music does not represent the finished in game soundtrack as we are porting them at the end of the project. pic.twitter.com/CXZhLcPx3C

The Kingdom of the Falls is not missing
Another of the works that we can see on video is the recreation of the Kingdom of the Falls, a work with many nods to the original Nintendo Switch map, and which, although it does not include the feared Tyrannosaurus, does offer the possibility of having a race against one of the turtles present there.
This is one more example that the creativity of many users is capable of offering us really interesting and striking alternatives, however, the total success of this version would have a quick outcome, since the memory limitation of the original Nintendo 64 cartridge could put in serious trouble running this version on an unmodified console (its creators use an emulator and the corresponding settings to run it).

But the work does not end here. According to its creators, the idea is to complete a large part of the kingdoms of Super Mario Odyssey and offer the possibility of collecting between 240 and 300 moons when it is completely finished. It all started with a recreation of the Sombrero Kingdom, so we will have to be careful how far these modders will be able to go.
Other creations by Kaze Emanuar
Emanuar's ingenuity has no limits, so we leave you with several more examples of some of his creations, such as the implementation of the cat suit in Super Mario 64 (including jumping and climbing walls), the recreation of Super Mario Sunshine or perhaps the most surprising of all: Portal 64. Mario with a portal gun!
