This Resident Evil Village mod fails to unravel the mystery of Ethan

It was to be expected that with the version of Resident evil village for PC modifications and hacks would come to light with which to squeeze all the possibilities of the game in very twisted ways, and among the things that can be done, obviously the mod with the third-person camera could not be missing.

The third person mod

Resident Evil 8 Mod

That's just what he's managed to get Fluffy Quack, a modder with a Patreon account where he invites his followers to offer donations with which he can continue doing his peculiar experiments. His latest work, a mod that for now is in a very experimental phase, and that allows you to use a third person camera to play RE:Village in Mercenaries mode.

As you can see in the video, the camera is not fully adjusted, since the body and the orientation of the shot are quite disoriented with respect to the aiming direction, but for now it is more or less functional. However, something that is particularly striking is that the model of Ethan, the game's protagonist, does not have a head. Is it a bug in the mod or in the game itself?

The face of Ethan Winters

Much has been said about the face of Ethan Winters. And is that, what face does the protagonist of the latest installments of Resident Evil have? To this day it remains unknown, and seen what has been seen, it seems that the developers are not willing to reveal it. That is the conclusion we reached after seeing how even the 3D modeling of the character does not have a head, something that has been verified with the FluffyQuack mod and that continues to lengthen the mystery behind the character's identity.

We had already seen before that the promotional images of the game are responsible for covering the face, so we will continue with the unsolved enigma.

play with other characters

The FluffyQuack mod has also been used to play the story mode using a different character than Ethan. In the following video, you can see how the modeling of Cassandra Beneviento, one of the Resident Evil 8 final bosses, at the same time that the third-person camera is also activated (something that continues to maintain the terrifying atmosphere of the Beneviento House). The result is quite good, and it is still curious how one of the enemies moves as the main character in the story.

At the moment, as we mentioned before, this mod is still in the experimental phase, so it is most likely that as the weeks go by we will see new effects and curiosities applied to the game's own graphics. Taking into account the number of mods that were released for Resident Evil 3, it is to be expected that with Village the matter will gain much more notoriety if we take into account the number of characters that exist in the game and the extension that the entire map of the village offers. What would you like to see modified? How about enemies that look like SpongeBob?
