Much has been speculated and rumored in recent days about the possible reservation and possible PS5 launch price. The appearance of the official section on the Amazon website and the publication of the product in the occasional store raised all kinds of alarms, however, Sony has confirmed that none of this will happen by surprise.
The Dual Sense controller up close
Today Geoff Keighley had prepared a conference for us through the Game Summer Fest to know a little more closely the new Dual Sense controller. The director of The Game Awards had in his possession a PlayStation 5 controller unit, and somehow, he would also have a development PS5 near him, since he has been able to play Astro's Playroom to experience the technical news around the new controller.
As Keighley himself commented on the broadcast, the Dual Sense seems to be slightly heavier than the current Dualshock 4. This is probably due to the new vibration motors that will offer more precise haptic experiences, as well as the new analog triggers, which will allow more control of the touch.
Unfortunately, this first exclusive look has not brought any more news, since it has basically been a review of everything we knew up to the moment of command. But it has served for Keighley to have a chat with Eric Lempel, head of marketing for PlayStation, and that is where we have been able to obtain some very interesting information.
When will you be able to reserve the PS5?
That is possibly the most repeated question by video game fans. To make matters worse, the latest rumors about the console have not helped anything, since Amazon inaugurated the official section of the console including information on both models and all the official accessories ahead of launch.
This section of the web did not have prices, however, that Amazon made the section official could only mean one thing: the reservation period would be very close to taking place. As the hours passed, the ball grew larger, and what at first was speculation ended up becoming a legend that no one has been able to confirm. Until today.

Thanks to Eric Lempel's statements in the Summer Game Fest live, we can know that PlayStation will never open the reservation period without prior notice, since at no time does PlayStation have plans to start this delicate process by surprise.
the eternal wait
This has been stated by Lempel, ensuring that consumers will know in advance when this will happen, and emphatically denying that it will occur in a matter of minutes. It is of course a decision that makes all the sense in the world, since such an important launch must be scheduled until the last second, and the last thing we expect is that reservations appear in advance without even knowing the official price of the console. The question is, when will we finally get out of doubt?
