Will Splinter Cell return?
For some years, Ubisoft itself has on occasion hinted at the possible return of Sam Fisher, the protagonist of the Splinter Cell video game. If you have followed the saga, you will know that the original title, the first Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, was released in 2002 and then six more installments were released that reached different platforms such as PC, Mac, consoles and even smartphones.

The last adventure was Blacklist, in 2013, and since then nothing has been known, although the company itself on more than one occasion hinted at the possibility of its return. Something logical too, because a franchise of this weight is not something to forget from one day to the next.
Now the Ubisoft Spain Twitter account He posts an image on the social network with a message that says "You need to understand the darkness to be able to face it..." and all hell breaks loose. Because after seeing the image of Sam Fisher with his already classic night vision goggles, many users have asked for explanations about what it means and what they mean by it.

Of course, with this message the speculations skyrocket and fans who expect to see a new installment begin to theorize with a possible launch. Something that is difficult to predict if it will happen, at least in the near future. Because only the account in Spain has published that message. It is not something that has later been replicated in the official profiles of other countries.
Logically, it is not ruled out either, because the message has not been deleted, so it was not an error by the team in charge of the account. Although it could also simply be a message with any other intention except to indicate that there will be a new Splinter Cell.
Ubisoft has several major projects in the works and some of them are related to the entire Tom Clancy universe. To find out if Sam Fisher will return or not, we will have to wait. Perhaps, in the last important events that remain on video games, something can be known. Or you may have to wait for the official launch of the new consoles to see that teaser initial that would kick off a new installment.
Be that as it may, I have wanted to play one of those last Splinter Cell. Maybe I always liked his adventures better than Solid Snake's.
