Perhaps one of the weakest points of the Steam Deck hardware is the screen. Changing the screen to the Steam Deck

Is it worth the change?
Although we have not been able to test it (right now the product is in the reservation phase), the screen inevitably It will look better than the original Valve console, however, with a higher resolution, the performance of the most demanding games will be irreparably worse.
Let's remember that the Steam Deck's processor handles many renowned games quite well, but to do so it always moves in its native 720p resolution. If we change the panel and we want to take advantage of the Full HD+ resolution offered by this DeckHD, the graphic demand will be higher, and the performance will obviously be reflected.
And it is that increasing the resolution will make the games look better, but the GPU is forced to render a greater number of pixels, so the workload increases greatly. Pay to slow down your console? Well, it will obviously depend on the game we play, and we can always set the resolution to display 720p whenever we want.

Its price is frankly attractive. With a label of U.S. dollar 99, the screen can be yours to mount and replace it with the original. At the moment the manufacturer has not shared any tutorial on how to do it, but we imagine that it will not be too complicated considering the ease of repair that the console offers.
