Leave no clues: delete all your Twitter history

Twitter

Perhaps you have ever wondered how to delete all your messages published on Twitter. It is a practice that some people do with a certain frequency -because they want to leave a trace of everything they write on the internet-, although it could also be because they want to delete your history in order to renew the image of your profile. Whatever the reasons, today we explain (on video!) how to delete all your tweets and even to program an automatic deletion so that they are eliminated from time to time.

How to delete your Twitter history

Deleting all your Twitter history can become a difficult mission if you don't know how to do it. There are several solutions available, so today we will explain how to use one of them (for free, of course), so that you leave your history clean while you can also schedule automatic deletions from time to time. Inside video.

As you can see, the steps to follow are not that complicated, but they also go through a backup copy (optional, of course) so that you can save all your messages. If you are not interested in saving anything, go to step number 6:

  1. Go to your Twitter account and enter the options menu.
  2. Go to Settings and privacy.
  3. Select “Account”.
  4. Look in the Data and permissions section for the option “Your Twitter data”.
  5. In “Download your Twitter data” enter your password and press Confirm to download your backup copy (a download link will be sent to your email when it is ready).
  6. Enter your browser and visit the web tweetdelete.net
  7. Check the box for accepting the terms of the website and click on the (eye-catching) green “Sign in with Twitter” button.
  8. You will have to give permission for it to enter your account.
  9. It will load a page where you can select if you want tweets that are older than a specific time (ranging from one week to one year) to be automatically deleted.
  10. Under this statement there is a box to check to delete all your tweets.
  11. Once managed, you just have to press “Activate TweetDelete”.

And ready. All your traces in the blue bird's social network will disappear and you will start from scratch with your clean account. Remember that by selecting the automatic deletion time you are giving permission to the TweetDelete service to act for you from time to time and continue deleting your tweets older than a certain date.

In case of wanting withdraw this permission, you will have to enter your account options again and in "Applications and devices" revoke access to TweetDelete.
