Han Solo is one of the main characters in The Wars since the premiere of the first film in 1977 although, to tell the truth, its true relevance did not come until the 2015 premiere of The Force Awakens, when the new plot arc devised by JJ Abrams decided that the lineage of the old smuggler was going to have a direct impact on the fate of the Galaxy.
