'An unexpected error has occurred': what to do when Netflix displays this message

1. Click the Chrome menu button on your browser's toolbar.

   • In Windows go to the Start menu, click Start / Shutdown and finally click on Delete.
   • On Chromebook: In the bottom right, click the time > Sign out > Shut down.
2. For a minimum of 10 seconds leave the device completely off.
3. Turn it back on and start Netflix again.

Microsoft Edge

Finally, in the case of the Microsoft browser, there is not just one path to follow, but rather several paths and we are going to tell you about them all:

Refresh the page

1. Update the page using the reload icon next to the address bar.
2. Restart Netflix.

Delete the Netflix cookie

1. Go to netflix.com/clearcookies. This website will log you out from Netflix.
2. Choose Log In and enter your Netflix email address and password.
3. Go back into Netflix.

Shut down your computer

1. Shut down your computer through the following processes depending on the operating system:
   • If you're using a Mac, in the upper left, click the Apple menu , then click Shut Down.
   • In Windows go to the Start menu, click Start/Shut down and finally click Shut down.
   • On Chromebook: In the bottom right, click the time > Sign out > Shut down.

3. Turn it back on and start Netflix again.

Clear browsing data

First of all, we warn you that this option will delete all the login data from your browser, so keep in mind the consequences of history, cache, etc.

2. Click History.
